Dr. Houssain Kettani was invited by the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT) to be the keynote speaker at the 2009 International Conference on Social Science and Humanities (ICSSH 2009) that was held in Singapore, October 9-11, 2009. Dr. Kettani is the Director of PUPR's Partnership Development Office and a Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department. His speech was on the number and percentage of the Muslim population in each country and worldwide. His work showed that 24% of the World population or 1.7 billion people are Muslim and that this percentage increases each decade by more than one percentage point.
